Here is how the SCEFL website reported today’s events…
Phoenix Sports increased their lead at the top to 13 points when they won by the narrowest margin at home to Canterbury City. Andy Constable scored the only goal of the game midway through the second half. City remain in 10th place.
Ashford United stay in second place but only on goal difference after they lost at home to Cray Valley PM. After a goal-less first half Alwayne Jones scored the only goal in the 64th minute. The Millers stay in 8th place.
Erith & Belvedere were held to a draw at Erith Town but reduced the gap between themselves and Ashford to goal difference only. The Deres went ahead at the end of the first half through a Connor French strike. Sam Gent levelled the game 5 minutes into the second half and that was that scoring-wise. The Dockers are now 5 points adrift at the bottom.
Tunbridge Wells stay in 4th place, 9 points behind the Deres after winning at home to Sevenoaks Town. Joe Fuller scored the lone goal 6 minutes into the second half to secure the win which leaves the Oaks in 9th place.
Greenwich Borough and Crowborough Athletic looked to be heading for a goal-less draw until Billy Bennett gave Borough a lead with just 10 minutes remaining. However, Crows’ Scott Treleaven nipped in with a final minute equaliser and a share of the spoils. Borough stay in 5th place while the Crows drop a place to 12th.
Beckenham Town drop a place to 7th while Woodstock Sports gain a place and move into 11th after Sports’ 3-2 win. Brett Ince gave Sports the lead after just 14 seconds but Becks’ Travis Gregory replied on 15 minutes. Tom Montgomery restored Sports’ lead in the 20th minute and then made it 1-3 five minutes later. Gregory pulled one back for Becks 3 minutes before half time. The second half was goal-less so Sports took all the honours.
Corinthian found their goalscoring boots today as they put 5 past Lordswood for nil in return. Jack Mahoney opened the Hoops account with his 12th minute penalty conversion. Luke Tanner then secured a 0-2 half time scoreline with his 24th minute strike. Jack Howlett made it 0-3 midway through the second half before Harvey McMorrow added the Hoops 4th just 2 minutes from time. In time added at the end Mahoney scored the 5th Hoops goal which moves them back into 6th place. The Lords drop a place to 14th.
Fisher stay in 19th place after Deal Town came from behind to take all three points at Edgar Kail Way. Luke Haidarovic gave the Fish an early lead after just 2 minutes and that was enough to give them a 1-0 scoreline at half time. In the second half there was a giant awakening and Deal went on a scoring spree started by Charlie Dickens in the 50th minute and continued, single handedly, by Ryan Philpott who scored yet another hast-trick before the game ended. Deal move up to 14th place.
Holmesdale drop a place to 16th and Rochester United go up a place to 17th after the Spartans won at home. The game looked to be heading towards a goal-less draw until Regan Payne scored 5 minutes from the end. Ricky Gundry had time to add a second Spartans goal before, in time added at the end, Victor Okizor scored a goal for the Dalers.
And finally, Lingfield move up to 15th place after their impressive home win against Croydon. The Lingers led 2-0 at half time thanks to a brace from Adem Kendrici. Chris Shanny made it 3-0 in the opening minute of the second half but then Karl Douglin reduced the deficit with his goal just before the hour mark. Kendrici completed his hat-trick in the 62nd minute, Sam Clements made it 5-1 a minute later and Matthew Warren scored the last goal in time added at the end. The Trams drop to 18th place.

Club top scorer Shaun Welford struck twice as Ashford United move up to within 11 points of Hollands & Blair after the Nuts & Bolts beat the 2nd placers by 2-0. Welford pounced in the 14th minute then again 3 minutes into the second half. Leaders Greenwich Borough had their game postponed so the gap at the top remains the same single point.
Jack Miles and Mike McKenna each scored for Sevenoaks Town who remain in 5th place despite the 2-0 home win against Tunbridge Wells. the Wells remain in 17th place
Luke Tanner scored a brace to help Corinthian to a 5-3 win at home to AFC Croydon Athletic. Jack Billings and Tanner each scored to give the home side a 2-0 half time lead. Callum McClean pulled a goal back for the Rams then Luke Tan levelled before Taylor Maddock put the Rams in front. 3 goals in the final 5 minutes, first from Jack Bath, then from Joe Minter and then finally Tanner’s 2nd saw the Hoops take the three points and go up into 6th place. Rams are in 9th.
Finally, Canterbury City move up 2 places to 8th after their trip to Crowborough Athletic proved a fruitful occasion. Mike Pilcher, Dan Lawrence and Ryan Philpott each scored first half goals then Philpott hit a second to give City a 4-0 away win. The Crows stay in 11th place.

Ashford United 0-3 Sevenoaks Town
Whitstable Town 0-2 Sheppey United
Following draws in the first legs both away teams won tonight giving us a Challenge Cup final to look forward to between Sevenoaks Town and Sheppey United.
Kieron McCann, Byron Walker and Harrison Carnegie got the goals for Sevenoaks at Ashford United while Richard Atkins netted a double for Sheppey at Whitstable Town.
