Good Friday in 2019 was a very good Friday for 8 of our First Division teams who picked up wins on this nice sunny April afternoon.
Welling Town continued their march towards the title with Ryan Golding scoring twice in a 3-0 win at Kent Football United. Lewisham Borough also won by that scoreline as Omari Hibbert netted a double in a 7th consecutive loss for Holmesdale.
Gary Clarke and Gary Lockyer were on target as Kennington won at Sutton Athletic and Ryan Hassan bagged a brace as Stansfeld beat Rochester United.
Forest Hill and Lydd Town picked up 3 points as did Greenways thanks to a strong late showing against Phoenix Sports Reserves.
There was a lot of activity in the game between Meridian VP and Snodland with the visitors getting most goals and most red cards – 4-2 on the goal count and 2-1 on the sending off’s.

This is how the SCEFL Media Man reported on tonight’s action back in 2016…
Cray Valley PM and Erith Town enjoyed an end-of-season 0-0 draw at Badgers Sports. The Millers final game is on Thursday at Badgers against Deal Town. The Dockers play Saturday at home to Corinthian.
Luke Tanner and Connor Johnson put Corinthian on the road to victory at Holmesdale where they won 1-2. No goals in the first half, Tanner struck just after the hour while Johnson doubled 13 minutes later. Steve Karkari scored the Dalers only goal 13 minutes from full time. Corries final game is at Erith Town on Saturday while the Dalers say farewell to the Premier Division at Deal.

Whytelafe closed in on the title with a 3-0 win at home to Corinthian on this day in 2014. Sam Clayton, Jason Thompson and Bentley Graham all scored meaning a win over Ashford on Monday will confirm them as Champions.
Ansy Constable hit a hat-trick in a 4-1 win for Phoenix Sports and Rob Lawrence also nabbed three as Canterbury City beat Woodstock Sports.
Jamie Humphris got half of Beckenham Town’s 4 at Greenwich Borough while Jimmy Dryden got the only goal of the game between Ashford United and Tunbridge Wells.
There were also comfortable victories for Cray Valley, Erith Town and Rochester United on a day with no draws but instead 8 very happy winners.
