On this day 6 years ago Erith & Belvedere won 2-1 with Adam Marsh getting both goals.
At Badger Sports Erith Town were narrow winners over Deal Town. Romone McCrae, Elyon Marshall-Katung and Kery Kedze got the goals for the Dockers with the replies coming from Connor Coyne and Ryan Philpott.
Lingfield won the other game on this Tuesday night by coming out best in a 5-goal thriller with Holmesdale. Jay Garrick’s double for the visitors was not enough as goals from Joel Amos (x2) and Charlie Goodlake won the points.
The first leg of the Challenge Cup went Beckenham Town’s way as they came from behind to beat Tunbridge Wells 3-2.
Brendon Cass opened the scoring for Wells before Damian Ramsamy equalised. Jamie Humphries put Becks ahead yet Dane Luchford soon levelled. In the final minute Humphries scored the winner giving Beckenham Town a narrow advantage going into leg two.

Glebe left it late but claimed yet another cracking away win when beating Canterbury City 2-1 at The Charles Sports Ground. The Chislehurst outfit have beaten Croydon, Lordswood and now Canterbury in successive games on the road to enter the top half of the table. They didn’t have it all their own way though and indeed it was the hosts that took the lead when on 47 minutes Pat Nzuzi broke the deadlock from outside the box. The visitors quickly levelled things through Fred Obasa before Laurent Hamici scored in the final few minutes to steal the points and move Glebe up to 10th place.
Crowborough Athletic moved in to second position when coming from behind to claim a 3-1 away victory at Chatham Town. With no goals in the first half it took Chatham’s Russell Bedford to open the scoring on the hour mark following a free-kick. It was the wake up call that Crowborough needed as soon after a quickfire Sam Carrington double gave them the lead before Zac Attwood volleyed home in the last minute to settle the tie.
Tunbridge Wells stunned Whitstable Town by taking an early lead at The Belmont Ground when with just 6 minutes on the clock Jack Harris scored to put the hosts unbeaten 2018 in danger. It got worse for them soon after when Charlie Smith got given a Red Card to reduce Whitstable to ten men. But Scott Porter’s side are made of stern stuff and Ricky Freeman levelled the game before half-time to give them some hope of maintaining that impressive record. The visitors could not take advantage of having the extra man throughout the second period and with no further goal action the score remained 1-1.
Croydon claimed 5th place with an impressive 3-0 win at home to Lordswood. Daniel Hector got the first in the 11th minute with Lauris Chin doubling the lead with 20 minutes left on the clock. In the final few seconds Hector got his second and The Trams third to wrap things up and move his side up the table.
Bearsted won for the first time in 2018 when handing Sheppey United a 2-0 defeat at the Havill Stadium. ‘The Bears’ Captain Rob Lyall scored the first goal in the 23rd minute with Peter WIlliams sealing the game in the final seconds to hand the visitors that long awaited victory and move above ‘The Ites’ into 13th place.
Three games were postponed due to the weather, Beckenham Town v Sevenoaks Town, Hollands & Blair v Corinthian and Rusthall v Rochester United.

Forest Hill Park 0 – 3 Phoenix Sports Res
Lydd Town 3 – 2 Gravesham Borough
Punjab United 1 – 0 Fisher
Snodland Town 2 – 0 SC Thamesmead
Sutton Athletic 2 – 1 Bridon Ropes
Punjab United returned to the top of the table with a 1-0 victory at home to Fisher. George Goodwin headed the hosts in to the lead in the 27th minute and with no further goal action they were able to hold on and take their place back on the summit of the Division.
Phoenix Sports Reserves scored three past Forest Hill Park at The Ladywell Arena for the second time in two weeks to claim the victory and return home with maximum points. Skipper Sam Fitzgerald opened the scoring in the 31st minute when he volleyed home following Callum Flynn corner. Before the first half was over Tarik Ibrahim doubled the visitors lead but the best was saved for last when Callum Flynn floated his 82nd minute corner inside the far past ensuring that Phoenix would once again leave Catford with a victory.
Lydd Town got the best of a 5 goal thriller when gaining a home win over Gravesham Borough. Goals from Reece Mortimer and Ryan Taylor put the hosts 2-0 up in the first half hour before a penalty from Nick Nowotny pulled Gravesham back in to the game before half time. Ryan Smith extended the Lydd Town lead just after the hour mark and although Matt Atkins gave the visitors late hope it was not to be and the home side saw the game out to take the win.
Dave Sherwood netted twice for Snodland Town as they beat SC Thamesmead 2-0 at Potyns Sports Field. The prolific striker netted his 19th and 20th League goals of the Season, one each side of the break, to move Snodland up to 6th position in the table.
Sutton Athletic made it 5 in a row when getting a late winner at home to Bridon Ropes. James Sutherland scored late in each half to sandwich a Richard Jimoh effort for the visitors to ensure the points remained in Hextable and move the home side up to 14th position.
Unfortunately Kent Football United v Erith & Belvedere and Stansfeld v K Sports were postponed.

A few days before the early end of the 2019/20 season Corinthian closed the gap to leaders Beckenham Town with a come-from-behind win at home to Chatham Town.
Following a Jon Pilbeam opener for the visitors, Luke Mahoney scored from the spot before Luke Tanner and Emmanuel Oloyede won it for the hosts.
At Martyn Grove, Dan Bradshaw scored the only goal of the game in a Sheppey United win while Crowborough Athletic and Erith Town shared the points in a 2-2 draw.
In The First Division Meridian VP and Forest Hill Park played out a goalless game while Bridon Ropes came out best in a five goal thriller with Sutton Athletic, with Jack Kensington getting the ‘Ropes’ winner.
