Match Report from Peter Parry
This was your classic game of two halves yesterday as Fisher took the game to Beckenham in the first half, playing expansive, open, attractive football all over the top quality Eden Park Avenue surface that had taken all that Storm Alex could throw at it.
A busy opening ten minutes saw both sides getting the ball down and knocking it around.
Yila beat the full back and passed to Udo who swivels on the edge of the box and shoots straight at McEntegart who saves comfortably.
Fisher opened the scoring in the 13th minute when the excellent Jacob Katonia got away from his marker down the right hand channel. He shrugged off his marker before driving his effort into the roof of the net sending the 44 Fisher fans into raptures. 0-1
Shortly after the opener Beckenham had their first sight of goal when their skipper headed over from a corner, when he really should have been celebrating a goal.
From then on it was all Fisher as Jamie Yila beat Hanifan down the left several times. Yila won a couple of corners in quick succession. Peter Ojemen also got in on the act down the left. Ojemen combined well with Yila and his dangerous cross was cleared.
Luke Thomas gets himself involved down the right and provided a cross for Yila. Yila when well placed fires his effort over the bar.
Steve Townsend kept Carpanini in the Fisher goal honest testing him with a 30 yarder that he dealt with easily.
At the other end Katonia was bowled over in the box. Penalty claims are waved away, might have got that on another day.
Once again it was Yila who got involved in a foot race with Junior Kaffo down the left. Something that Kaffo wouldn’t want to repeat, Kaffos hamstrings must have been screaming for mercy.
Yila and Ojemen once again teamed up down the left with Ojemens cross once again being cleared.
Fisher skipper Luke Thomas then led by example making an excellent tackle before laying the ball off. The game was then halted after Sarpong fouled Townsend.
Shortly before half time Ojemen and Hanifan required lengthy treatment after a clash of heads after both challenging for a header.

Becks manager Jay Huntley and his team had seen Fisher boss the first half. All credit must go him and his staff as he made a double substitution at half time. Nwoko came off for Aderonmu and Valler also entered the fray.
This double sub and then taking off Kaffo for Ryan Hall 10 minutes into the second half swung the game in Becks favour.
A sign of things to come when Carpaninis poor goal kick went straight to Aderonmu who bore down on goal from 30 yards out. Carpanini redeemed himself saving a thumping low drive and Turning it around the post for a corner. The corner came to nothing and once again the heavens opened and the rain tumbled down.
Becks also came close when Valler struck a free kick from 20 yards. Carpanini palmed it over for a corner.
Jack Gibbons who started the game today in place of Coker who was unavailable due to injury in the Glebe game. Gibbons had been looked after really well by former Fish Jamie Brown at left back.
Gibbons got away from Brown for the first time and fired a delicious cross across the six yard box. The type of cross that has defenders scared to touch it and too far out for the keeper to collect the ball. Udo and Yila were charging towards goal but couldn’t get anything on it!
The equaliser came when sub Hall picked the ball up in midfield and played a 30 yard pass from the centre of the field to the right. Pink beat Ojemen and squared across the box to Aderonmu who fires home. 1-1
Valler playing well in midfield found himself out on the left. He cut inside Thomas and shot for goal. The ball hit a falling Sam Fitzgerald in the midriff. Becks had a shout up for a penalty but it was a corner all day long.
The corner was headed over and down the other end Fisher had a corner of their own which was cleared. Katonia picked the ball up in midfield and drove at the becks back four before shooting over.
Becks worked the ball along the back four and down the left. The ball was worked forward but the super sharp Thomas read the play well and was in nicked the ball and gone before the Becks wide man knew what was happening. Thomas found Sarpong who found Yila on the left. Yila cut inside his full back and curled his effort just the wrong side of the upright.
Foulkes replaced Gibbons to try and breathe new life into the midfield. Sarpong moved to the right and Foulkes slotted into midfield with De Mata. Who once again works his socks off for the team. Udo who had been on the periphery for large periods made way for Wale Odedoyin up top.
Hall was now pulling all the strings in midfield and played the same ball to Pink at least three or four times. Pink was now giving Ojemen some problems to deal with. Ojemen went down clutching the back of his leg. After treatment he tried to carry on but went down again shortly after. A hamstring injury ended Ojemens day he was replaced by Brown. Another reshuffle saw Sarpong move to left back and Brown into midfield.
With the game coming into the closing stages both teams were trying to nick a winner. Odedoyin went through but he was hauled back by Carter who collected a yellow.
Fisher had one more chance to win the game. Yila got away down the left and he delivered a quality cross found Odedoyin at the far post. His header went over the bar when he should have been wheeling away having scored the winner.
Valler picked up a yellow for a foul on Katonia.
Four minutes injury time had gone up on the board.
Hall played the ball to Pink who in turn passed to Aderonmu. Aderonmu wiggled his way into the box, as soon as Fitzgerald waved a leg Aderonmu saw his opportunity and went down. Ref signalled for a penalty. Aderonmu has in effect used all his experience and old manned Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald must learn from this and not hang a leg in the box.
With practically the last kick of the game up stepped Aderonmu to slot home his second and take the three points for Beckenham leaving the Fisher fans players and staff pig sick as the final whistle went.

Special mention to Jamie Brown who was so solid at left back on the day. Also great to see Mudi Wanogho who is taking a break from the game.
