K Sports have launched a Crowdfunder to help ease financial worries brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic and they are close to reaching their revised target!
They recently applied for additional funding with Crowdfunder and Sport Englands ‘Active Together’ Initiative. Their bid has been successful- however they will only receive the funding if they can get to 25% of their crowdfunder target (£1250). They are now just a few hundred pounds away from that total.
Their appeal page reads;
K Sports are a community football club, in Ditton, Aylesford. We support hundreds of children in 23 youth teams playing football in age groups from under 8 up to under 18. Our adult first team are playing in the Southern Counties East football league, the highest league they have ever played in. However this clubs place at the heart of the community is at risk due to the coronavirus.
Income has been lost due to a lack of subs and a drastic fall in sponsorship as our business supporters also understandably struggle in these unprecedented times. As it stands we have no idea when we will be out on the field again. All of this means we need additional funding to keep the first team and all of our youth teams going when we start the new season, so we are callling on the local community to contribute if possible.
All of your support will be appreciated and make a huge difference to your local football club.
If you can, please support us today.
At K Sports we support hundreds of children in the community across over 20 teams. The coronavirus has hit us hard and we are looking to raise funds to cover equipment, registration and other essentials for next season. Support our crowdfunder at https://t.co/8is1qumqgB pic.twitter.com/pGawExViRU
