Things are now tighter at the top end of the table after the leaders lost and the next six sides all won on another busy day in the Premier Division.
Things were going well for Beckenham Town when they led at the break thanks to a Shameek Farrell goal but a second half comeback from Chatham Town saw the points go home with the visitors. Matt Bodkin was first on target for the Chats before Jon Pilbeam found a winner late in the game to put Chatham six points off top spot.
Corinthian kept their winning run going with a 2-0 victory at home to Deal Town. It is now 10 in a row for the Hoops as Luke Tanner and Dereece Thompson earned them the points.
Sheppey United kept within touch at the top after a comfortable 5-0 win over Greenwich Borough. An early Dan Bradshaw double kicked things off with Laurent Hamici, Harrison Carnegie and Samson Alalade getting the others as Sheppey passed the 100 mark for goals this Campaign. Next up for the Ites is a trip to Beckenham.
Tunbridge Wells remian in the top six after coming home from South London with all 3 points. A stunner from Clark Woodcock gave the visitors an early lead before Jason Thompson added two more in the second half. Fisher had their chances but failed to take them and are now looking over ther shoulders in 17th place.
Hollands & Blair made it 3 wins in a row as the strengthened their promotion hopes. Stuart West scored on 21 minutes for Blair before getting his marching orders soon after. Welling Town could not find an equaliser though so the points stayed with the hosts.
The Mayfield Stadium hosted the highest scoring game of the day and it was the hosts that came out best with a 4-2 win over Erith & Belvedere. Nahum Green hit the first of the afternoon on 13 minutes with Joe Nwoko adding the next on 37. The Deres pulled one back just before the break but their was still time for Emmanuel Oloyede to send AFC Croydon in at 3-1 up. Late in the game Nwoko addeda 4th before Chan Quan reduced the deficit. The Rams now move up to 14th place after back-to-back victories.
Glebe started the year with a win when handing out a 4-0 defeat to Canterbury City. Jamie Philpot was among the scorers with a brace while Chris Parr added another. The result keeps the Foxes slight promotion hopes alive.
Punjab United claimed their best win of the season when returning from K Sports as 4-0 winners. Janiah Boyd, Bryan Zepo, Rob Brown and Will Johnson-Cole were all on target in a win that moves Punjab away from the bottom three.
Bearsted entered the top half of the table thanks to a narrow 1-0 win at home to Erith Town. Jon Rogers got the only goal of the game in just the 6th minute in a rare low scoring encounter for the Bears. Erith drop to 12th and have now lost 3 in a row.
Goalless games are rare in the SCEFL but Crowborough Athletic and Lordswood have managed to achieve them both times they have faced each other this season. Today’s 0-0 gives each a point but the Crows remain in 19th place and in a position of danger.
