Kent Football United have confirmed their first 8 signings a couple of weeks ahead of their first game of the season against Forest Hill Park on 3rd August.
After a delayed start to their pre-season the Management Team of Steve Devereux and Richmond Kissi have quickly began to pull together a squad that they hope will make them competitive in the First Division.
The first 8 new KFU lads:
Kehinde Akiu – The powerful young centre half was impressive against Punjab United and will provide pace and power to the back line.
Ben Cotter – Returns for another season with the Club. The hard working versatile player will add great balance and intelligence to the side and brings a positive mental attitude.
Christian Akinlade – The fast, strong centre forward is also retained from last season. He will be a handful for any back line and is looking forward to developing his game further under the new managerment team.
James Golding – Links back up with Richmond Kissi by signing for KFU. The full back will add great experience to the side with a real attacking threat on the overlap.
Jack Kensington – Signs for KFU following a previous spell with Erith Town. The midfielder has been impresive in training so far.
Samuel Odubanjo – Former Chatham and Maidstone U23 midfielder. Tall, strong and powerful with loads of potential.
Tom Songu – A recruit from the impressive Bromley Academy setup and will add skill and cutting edge to the midfield. Will be good to see him convert to senior football this season.
Jack Gemmell – The young midfielder has bags of ability and is expected to flourish in blue this season.
Next-up for Kent Football United is a friendly with Phoenix Sports u23s on Saturday.
