Following a string of disappointing results, K Sports FC went in to the first qualifying round of the FA Vase with a lot to play for against a strong Tunbridge Wells side.
K Sports could easily have gone in to the game with their heads down low, however, it was them that were able to take the initiative early on when they forced an early goal with a decisive finish from Bradley Large.
The home side looked in control for much of the first half but switched off just before the break, allowing Tunbridge Wells’ Miles Cornwell to grab the equaliser to set the second half up nicely.
The visitors will be disappointed that they were unable to capitalise on their equaliser in the second half and it was once again K Sports that looked the more likely to score.
They were finally rewarded for their hard work when striker Tom Rumble found himself behind the Tunbridge backline and placed his strike passed the goalkeeper to win it for the paperboys 2-1.
A good performance and well deserved win by K Sports FC, which will give them that much needed confidence going in to their next game.
Next in the competition they will visit Walton & Hersham on October 10th.
