‘Deres’ announce full Management Team

Del Oldfield has announced the backroom team that will help him lead Erith & Belvedere into the 2020/21 Season.

Joining Del in the dugout will be Owen Price, Marlon Patterson and Larry Hays.

Owen joins the Deres as Assistant Manager after spending the last campaign in the same role, at Lordswood.

He is a former England schoolboy international and came through Charlton Athletic and Tottenham’s youth teams. He spent a couple of seasons (2006-07) in Sweden and Finland, making top-flight appearances in the Finnish league for TPS Turku. Returning to England, he had spells with Northwich Victoria and Farnborough. More recently he played for various local teams including Greewich, Chatham, Hythe, Phoenix and Deres, where he had his first coaching experience in Luke Coleman’s team before becoming assistant manager to Darren Anslow at Lordswood last year. He made 15 appearances for us in 2017-18 and has the distinction of being our first ever 4th substitute! – when he came on in a Hospitals Cup tie v Stansfeld.

Marlon Patterson was also based at Martyn Grove last time out and he now moves to Park View Road in a Player / Coach role.

He graduated from Millwall and Chelsea’s youth teams, and played for Fisher, Carshalton and Dulwich as a youngster. He signed for Histon in 2009, making his debut in an FA Cup third round tie v Swansea City, then played for Dulwich Hamlet before moving on to Bromley, for whom he made nearly 200 appearances in two separate spells.

Larry Hays will be Player Liason for the Club.

Off the field Erith & Belvedere have also been very busy. Their clubhouse is midway through a complete refurb and is sure to look incredible by the time the new season begins.
