Sea Pioneer First Division
Our 7 First Division games gave us 25 goals although 10 of the came in 1 game at Cobdown!
Greenways found themselves 2-0 down to Lewisham Borough yet roared back with yet another strong second half display to get themselves a 7-3 win. Danny Lear and Lewis Wood each scored, with Josh White hitting two and Brad Cross going one better getting a hat-trick.
Second place in the table is now occupied by Rusthall after the edged past Kennington at Jockey Farm. The only goal of the game came in the 28th minute through top scorer Luke Adams as he netted for the 16th time in the league this campaign.
Rochester United remain at the top but now have a smaller advantage after they left the Ladywell Arena empty handed today. The Spartans had got off to the perfect start when scoring in the first minute yet Forest Hill Park rallied strong late on and goals from Joji Phillips and Oli Milton gave them the 2-1 win.
The long trip to Lydd Town wasn’t wasted for Croydon as they returned with all 3 points in a narrow 2-1 victory. All three goals came in the second half with Andy Somo and Tunde Owolabi finding the net for the Trams and Conor Wetherall scoring for Lydd.
Stansfeld have now picked up an impressive 13 points from a possible 15 as they moved up to 7th place thanks to a win at high-flying FC Elmstead. Strike duo Billy Shinners and Ryan Hassan were on target for Stansfeld who will aim to continue their good run when hosting Holmesdale next week.
Snodland Town came close to getting their first win in a long time but were denied by a last minute leveller at Bridon Ropes. Connor Linton and Levi Brown had given Snodland a 2-0 lead before Jack Kirby pulled one back for the hosts in the 85th minute and Nathan Simpson nicked his side a last minute point.
It also finished level at Bayliss Avenue as SC Thamesmead and Sutton Athletic played out a 1-1 draw. Joshua Kwadu put the Acre in the lead in the 15th minute with George Bryan equalising with ten minutes to play.
