It has been a busy one at Chatham Town this summer with lots happening on and off the pitch.
Talking about the pitch, they have new one!
The 4G surface has now been installed and at the players have already used it for their training sessions.
The first match to take place will be on 19th July against Gillingham with a 7pm K.O
Following that the SCEFL Charity Shield will take place at the ground on 27th July with Cray Valley taking on the hosts.
The benefits to the new surface are huge with the local community all set to benefit from the facilities. The Club have already signed a deal with ‘Leisure Leagues’ that will see 6-a-side football taking place at the stadium on Sunday and Monday evenings.
Chatham have also recently signed a naming rights deal for the ground. For the next 3 years it will be known as the Bauvill Stadium with the construction company continuing their long-standing support for the Club.
As we see, it’s all looking good for the Chats, new pitch, plenty of new players, lots of hopes and expectations around the place, could this be their year? Can they improve on what was a highly-successful season last time around?
Not long until we find out. The new campaign kicks off on 3rd August.
