Bears back in the FA Cup

Bearsted are back in the FA Cup after the FA removed Peacehaven & Telscombe for an administrative error.
Peacehaven beat the Bears 5-3 last week in the Extra-Preliminary Round but have now revealed that it will be Bearsted that will play at Whyteleafe in the next phase.
Peacehaven released this statement:
DUE to an admin error in respect of one misdirected email, Peacehaven & Telscombe have today been removed from the FA Cup.
Bearsted will now go forward to play Whyteleafe on Saturday.
The FA have acknowledged this was a genuine error and won’t be fining Peacehaven & Telscombe FC for any irregularity.
Club chair Sue Norwood said: “We’re really disappointed that we have been removed from this year’s competition but we do acknowledge we have made a mistake and for this we apologise to our players and fans.” Mrs Norwood concluded: “I’d like to wish Bearsted good luck in their game at Whyteleafe on Saturday.”
