Article 48: Filming Games

In asnwer to the teams that have asked if they can live stream their Saturday 3pm K.O games we have some further clarification from the FA.

Normal rules state that no football match in the UK can be broadcast live to an audience and this comes under ‘Article 48’ of the UEFA rules.

Article 48 was ‘lifted’ during the restarted 2019-20 season in order to permit the streaming/broadcasting of matches between 14:45 – 17:15 on Saturday’s. This was owing to the inability of having spectators attending Premier League, EFL and National League Play Off matches.

Article 48 will be in place for the 2020-21 season but at this moment in time remains lifted.

Therefore, the streaming/broadcasting of matches between 14:45 – 17:15 on a Saturday is permitted until The FA informs Leagues otherwise.

We will update you when this changes.
