Predictions

With the Season fast upon us it's time to see which teams you feel will be battling away for League Title honours come next April.

We are asking for your picks for the top five places, in order, for the SCEFL Division that you know best. Selections will be displayed below and kept on show all Season for everyone to see, so make sure you put some thought into it! Will anyone get all 5 in the correct order???

To send yours in drop me a message with your name and 5 picks to [email protected] or via DM on Twitter if that is easier. If you can give some reasoning for your picks then that would be even better.

Best of luck!

SCEFL Premier Division Predictions

Below we have the predictions for the SCEFL Premier Division. On our earlier survey it was Tunbridge Wells that were voted in as potential Champions but now that people have to put their name to their picks people seem to be shying away from them!

First up we select a few people fr a more in-depth look at their picks.

Dave Morgan ( Canterbury City Fan) - 1. Beckenham Town - Retained the Man with The Golden Boot and made a couple of decent signings including the guy who scored Canterbury's first competitive goal after reforming back in 2007. 2. Sheppey United- Persistent under achievers, so after years of disappointment, this may be their time. Great playing surface, great ambition and a great chairman!!! 3. Chatham Town - A great location for a City pub awayday and much needed with Rochester's relegation. Ought to follow up Whitstable's run and have a bounce back after a bit of a struggle last season following their relegation. 4. Cray Valley - no idea really why I havent put them further up other than I always expect them to do well and they have tended to let me down. Tough nut to crack but perhaps lacking the consistency of performance for a sustained challenge. 5. Canterbury City - Heart ruling head? Maybe but very encouraging performance and result at Hythe in Pre-Season. Have tended to lack that 20 plus goals a season striker so a little galling to see the likes of former players Richard Atkins, Andy Constable and Tunde Aderonmu still knocking them in for fun elsewhere!

Jason Stanley (Chatham Town fan) - 1. Sheppey United - The Man Utd of the SCEFL, the biggest support and best overall set-up. 2. Beckenham Town - Have the finances behind them to challenge. 3. Cray Valley - Have some experienced heads in their squad. 4. Chatham Town - Have assembled a promising squad who have experience of getting out of this League. 5. Glebe FC – Making steady progress and have made some astute signings.

Alex Perseval ( Ashford United fan) - 1. Chatham Town - Have a great first team which I think would compete at Bostik Level. 2. Sheppey United - Will be competing with Chatham for top spot all season but will just miss out on the title. 3. Beckenham Town - May be expected to do better but will finish in top three. 4. Lordswood - Have brought in plenty of talent. 5. Cray Valley PM - The best of the rest.

And now for the full list of Premier Division Predictions.

Below are the predictions for the SCEFL First Division

In our survey it was Welling Town that were voted as favourites for the Title and an early look at predictions shows that people seem to agree with that as many have selected them to top the table!

Jason Stanley - 1. Welling Town – Have some financial clout behind them and have made some astute signings. 2. Kent Football Utd – If they can avoid points deduction then they should be challenging. 3. Erith & Belvedere – Sad to see such an old established Kent club at this level, so more heart then head prediction. 4. Kennington – Ran away with the Kent County Premier so should be up there 5. Snodland Town – Seem to have kept the core of their squad together, and always improving year on year. Plus a fan of Big Dave 'Shirley' Sherwood.

Ian Murphy - 1. Welling Town - seem to be putting a good squad together, Pre-Season suggests they are gelling well. 2. Bridon Ropes - strong side a good work ethicso will do well. 3. Snodland Town - Work hard for each other, a good team should be strong. 4. Holmesdale - Similar to Snodland they are a hard working team with a good work ethic. 5. Rochester United - Andy Constable has still got enough goals in him to ensure a decent finish.

Recently we ran a survey where visitors to this site voted for who they thought would win the SCEFL Premier Division.

We received over 1000 votes.

Below is the Predicted Table using the results of the Survey.

Obviously it is just a bit of fun and takes into account size of fan base as much as anything but the results could be interesting and I will keep them stored and revisit them and the end of the Season to see how accurate we as SCEFL fans were.
